Ryanair has announced 4 new flight routes between the UK and Spain from two new flight bases in Spain: Valencia and Alicante (both cities in the region of Valencia). This means that a number of new budget flight options to Spain are now available (or will be available shortly) for UK visitors to Spain.
From November 2007, budget flights will available between Doncaster and Alicante, with departures set to run three times weekly. Further flights will go from the East Midlands (four per week) and Bournmouth (thrice weekly from December 2007).
From October 2007, Ryanair will also be offering flights to the city of Valencia four times each week from Liverpool, when the airline opens up its base in the city.
This is part of Ryanair’s ongoing expansion into Europe: further plans include the purchase of several Boeing aircrafts to service routes from Alicante to another eight European locations.
